Buckle up because we have a lot to talk about. The 2009 Dark Oath Racing Champion, Craig Thomson, is defending his title putting pressure on top ranked Nathan. Craig stumbled during the first half of the season but now has the most total points and highest average finish. M&C led the whole race against Craig this week, however, he keeps refusing to lose taking down M&C 705-698. Craig has put enough total points over Nathan now that if he ties Team Truckin he will take the lead, a lead that Nathan has held for 26 weeks so far. Nathan is running on empty plain and simple. That team blew up the field the first half of the season, but now the team is struggling with a 528 average the last seven races. With Craig averaging 620 a race the last five races, there is real doubt in the Team Truckin garage. Nathan and Craig will face off against one another next week for an epic showdown. If Nathan can get the win it will put more distance between the two teams that Nathan needs since Craig now has the points lead. If Craig gets the win, he all but ensures himself a real shot at the title.
There will be another big match up next week as well. Dallas and Jerod have been tied for four straight weeks. Only four points separate the two in total points after 27 weeks. They face each other in the next match up to finally break the tie. Dallas has a slight advantage with a 602 average the last 7 races while Jerod is averaging 598. The top 6 teams are really pushing full throttle. We’ve never had a season with six teams with winning records this deep in the season. Whoever wins this championship can rest assured that it has been the hardest to earn. Here are the results and the Race Rewind Video.
